Does Constructor support multiple development environments?
Yes. Constructor can support multiple development environments within an account. Generally, customers have two environments: one for development and one for production.
Each environment is represented by a different API key (also called an index) within the account, and can be named arbitrarily according to a customer's own conventions.
The keys are functionally independent so that configuration, data, and merchandizing changes to one do not affect the other. In this way, each can be tested and used independently. Constructor has a number of internal tools to copy configuration data between keys if helpful.
Constructor generally has a beacon on a customer's production site collecting behavioral data that is used to optimize results. Due to this, results on non-production environments may not benefit from all of Constructor's machine learning algorithms. You may work with your Constructor integration team to validate results on lower environments.
