Learn the definition of metrics across Constructor products

Search

The following definitions apply to the Search metrics located on the Search analytics page and Constructor homepage.

  • Sessions: Number of sessions where users viewed at least one search results page or submitted at least one search query, depending on the setup.
  • Pageviews: Number of times users have viewed a search results page or submitted a search query, depending on the setup.
  • Clicks: Number of times users clicked on search results.
  • Purchases: Number of orders containing at least one item users added to their cart during a search.
  • Revenue: Revenue from items users purchased after adding those items to their cart during a search.
  • Revenue Per Visitor: Average search revenues per user who viewed a search results page or submitted a search query, depending on the setup.
  • Average Order Value: Search revenue divided by the number of orders that contain at least one item users added to their cart during a search.
  • Clickthrough Rate: Percentage of search sessions where users clicked at least one item on a search results page. A search session is a session containing at least one search query.
  • Add-to-Cart Rate: Percentage of search sessions where users added an item on a search results page to their cart. A search session is a session containing at least one search query.
  • Purchase Rate: Percentage of search sessions where users purchased an item they added to their cart during a search. A search session is a session containing at least one search query.

Autosuggest

The following definitions apply to the Autosuggest metrics located on the Constructor homepage.

  • Sessions: Number of sessions where Constructor attempted to return autosuggest results for a search query, regardless of whether suggestions were displayed for users.
  • Clicks: Number of times users clicked on an autosuggest suggestion.

Browse

The following definitions apply to the Browse metrics located on the Browse analytics page and Constructor homepage.

  • Pageviews: Number of times users have viewed a browse page, including collection, category, and facet pages.
  • Clicks: Number of times users clicked on items on a browse page.
  • Add-to-Carts: Number of times users added an item to their cart from a browse page.
  • Purchases: Number of orders containing at least one item users added to their cart from a browse page.
  • Revenue: Revenue from items users purchased after adding those items to their cart from a browse page.
  • Revenue Per Visitor: Average browse revenue per user who viewed a browse page.
  • Average Order Value: Browse revenue divided by the number of orders that contain at least one item users added to their cart from a browse page.
  • Sessions: Number of sessions where users viewed at least one browse page.
  • Clickthrough Rate: Percentage of browse sessions where users clicked at least one item on a browse page. A browse session is a session containing at least one browse page visit.
  • Add-to-Cart Rate: Percentage of browse sessions where users added an item to their cart during a browse experience. A browse session is a session containing at least one browse page visit.
  • Purchase Rate: Percentage of browse sessions where users purchased an item they added to their cart during a browse experience. A browse session is a session containing at least one browse page visit.

Recommendations

The following definitions apply to the Recommendations metrics located on the Recommendations analytics page and Constructor homepage.

  • Views: Number of times users viewed a page that contained a recommendations pod.
  • Clicks: Number of times users clicked on items within a recommendations pod.
  • Add-to-Carts: Number of times users added an item to their cart from a recommendations pod.
  • Purchases: Number of orders containing at least one item users added to their cart from a recommendations pod.
  • Revenue: Revenue from items users purchased after adding those items to their cart from a recommendations pod.
  • Sessions: Number of sessions where users visited a page that contained at least one recommendation pod to users.
  • Clickthrough Rate: Percentage of recommendation sessions where users clicked at least one item in a recommendations pod. A recommendation session is a session where at least one recommendations pod was displayed.
  • Add-to-Cart Rate: Percentage of recommendation sessions where users added an item to their cart from a recommendations pod. A recommendation session is a session where at least one recommendations pod was displayed.
  • Purchase Rate: Percentage of recommendation sessions where users purchased an item they added to their cart from a recommendations pod. A recommendation session is a session where at least one recommendations pod was displayed.

Collections

The following definitions apply to the Collections metrics located on the Constructor homepage.

  • Sessions: Number of sessions where users viewed at least one collection page.
  • Pageviews: Number of times users have viewed a collection page.
  • Clicks: Number of times users clicked an item on a collection page.

Conversions

The following definitions apply to the Conversions metrics located on the Conversions analytics page.

  • Sessions: Total number of user sessions.
  • Success Event: Number of sessions that contain a success event (e.g., an add-to-cart action, add-to-wishlist action, etc.). It does not include purchases.
  • Success Event Rate: Percentage of total sessions that include a success event (e.g., an add-to-cart action, add-to-wishlist action, etc.).
  • Sessions with Purchases: Number of total sessions where users made a purchase.
  • Sessions with Purchases Rate: Percentage of total sessions where users made a purchase.

Opportunities

The following definitions apply to the Opportunities metrics located on the Opportunities analytics page.

  • CES Only Results: Number of times Constructor leveraged the cognitive embeddings search (CES) algorithm to avoid returning zero search results. Learn more.
  • CES Results Rate: Percentage of total searches where Constructor leveraged the cognitive embeddings search (CES) algorithm to avoid returning zero search results. Learn more.
  • Zero Results: Number of times Constructor returned zero search results to users.
  • Zero Results Rate: Percentage of total searches where Constructor returned zero search results to users.
