How are Autosuggest search suggestions determined?

Any term that is searched more than 3 times in a day will be pulled into the search suggestions used for Autosuggest. At the moment, Constructor does not delete these unless we start returning zero results for the search or determine that this word is a mistyping.

Autosuggest terms are purely driven by customer behavior and do not have any reflection on the catalog itself other than whether we return results for it. Also, if a search suggestion is used less often and found not to be attractive, we will rank it lower in the result set.

Are search suggestions updated on a daily basis?

Yes, new search suggestions are added on a daily basis. Search suggestions may also be removed on a daily basis if we find that they produce zero result searches or are determined to be a mistyping.

How does Constructor account for common searches that are spelled incorrectly? Will these incorrect terms appear as search suggestions?

Common mistyping's will not appear in search suggestions. We compare the search term with our bank of matched terms that are already being used to power the search results to determine if the search term is a mistyping.

How often are the analytics around Autosuggest updated within the customer dashboard?

The default view is daily starting yesterday (so you would not see changes from today included). However if you change the view to current day the data will be updated within approximately 30 minutes.
