Conditions when cookies may be used
First-party cookies may be utilized in favor of local storage to store parameters for the following circumstances:
- Web platforms that extend across multiple sub domains
- Supporting customers who utilize a backend integration
- Websites that utilize both HTTP and HTTPS
What type of cookies are utilized by Constructor?
When one of the conditions preceding requires the use of cookies, we only utilize first-party cookies to track visitors - that is, the cookie is set on your own website domain, not on Constructor's. First-party cookies provide the most privacy protection for users.
The cookie is tied only to your web application domain(s). As a result, there is no way Constructor can link visitor data to users when they are off your website. Constructor's visitor tracking is engineered to not run in opposition to modern privacy protections offered by browsers and is not affected by browsers that block third-party cookies.
