Constructor offers a number of features to configure facets in an index.

General

To manage facet configuration, choose the "Indexes" tab in your customer dashboard. Find the index you'd like to manage, and then click "Manage facets."

Facet groups

Facet groups are the parent categories of facet information (for instance, "Brand"). To manage the configuration of a facet group, select it in the list on the left side and then choose "Edit" next to its name on the right. In the window displayed, you can set the name and position of the facet group.

In some cases, it can be useful to hide facets. Hidden facets can still be used when creating merchandizing rules, but won't be visible to end users by default. Some examples where this can be useful include a "new" facet that allows merchants to boost new products and a "low inventory" facet that allows merchants to bury low inventory items.

To hide a facet, you can toggle the "Visibility" switch in the "Edit facet group" window.

Facet options

Similar to facet groups, you can change the name, position, and visibility of facet options.

To change how facet options are displayed, select the facet group in the list on the left side, hover over the facet option on the right, and then click "Edit."
