Constructor's searchandising capabilities allow merchants to create rich sets or rules to promote, demote or feature items and brands.
By leveraging the APIs underlying these capabilities, customer data science teams can incorporate their own expertise and understanding of user behavior to optimize results, much like Constructor does with its automatic rule-setting for boost and bury. The combination of a query string and one or more rules are referred to as a "refined query."
Refined queries leverage existing product taxonomy (catalog data), so any facet or group ID in a given index can be used to create a rule.
Refined queries can be set for individual search term or browse pages (based on a facet or group ID page).
